[ Allura could understand a need for an adrenaline rush, but the concept of a "Haunted House" is not one that she understood. At all. Humans really did this for fun? Of course this time of year was, supposedly, all about things that would make one scream. So in the interest of learning about the strange culture of her newfound family, she agreed to join the group to the city's famed "Fright Night Haunted Spectacular".
It was cold. Much too cold for her dress which was supposed to be a "mouse costume for women", but didn't look anything like her mice or any Earth mice she had seen. The ears were cute, though.
Allura rubs her upper arms as she and Shiro wait at the front of the line. Lance and Keith had already gone up ahead trying to see who was the least likely to get spooked.
Everyone bet on Keith. Sorry, Lance. ]
I know this is supposed to be terrifying, but I find standing outside any longer to be much scarier. Do you think th--
[ Ah, yep. That's definitely the sound of Lance shouting. ]
[It really is cold. And the outfit he'd coerced into staying on his body wasn't really what he wanted when he went to pick up a Star Wars costume. But it'll have to do. Sure, he'd draped a faux-velvet cape over his shoulders, but it's not nearly enough. At least they can be cold together, if nothing else.]
[From what he's heard, this is nothing but some cheap fun. Just something to unwind with, laugh about later. Go through the haunted house, shriek at the jump scares. Then maybe they could all go for some hot chocolate or cider. Pizza, maybe. Something light and easy.]
Here. Stand a little closer. [He shifts nearer to her. An arm looping around her shoulders.] They should be done soo--
[... yep. Sure is Lance.]
I'll buy your soy latte if Lance comes running out first.
[ Shiro what are you wearing. She judges a little bit, mostly because he looks much colder than she does. (If she had known, she would have been Han Solo for him.)
She does stand closer, though. At least some shared heat should help, right?
Allura huffs, but smiles up at Shiro. ]
I'll take that bet. I think he'll stay as long as Keith is there.
[It's very cold. It's also his own fault for not specifying what kind of star wars costume he wanted. If he had planned better, yes, they absolutely could have coordinated.]
[He arches an eyebrow back at her.]
Okay, you have a point... You don't think Keith would throw him out at some point?
[ Allura purses her lips at that. The assistant is peering into the haunted house to see if it's ready for their next group of guests--namely, them. Shivering out in the cold? Allura is kind of ready for a spook. ]
He might try. But I suspect that will be the end of the attraction, at that point. So let's hope he manages to "keep is cool", as they say.
[ "They" being Earthlings. She's getting good at this, isn't she?
But it's their turn! They're ushered forward as the main door to the Haunted House creaks open. ]
[Man, was it always this cold out here? It feels like it's gotten significantly colder since they've been standing out here, waiting. He shuffles his feet a bit.]
I believe in him. We've been working on deep, calming breaths.
[It's really cute when she tries for human sayings. He doesn't have the heart to correct her.]
[Well, that explains why he's dressed as Princess Leia.]
[But he escorts her into the darkness, regardless, feeling his skin crawl a little in pure reflex. It's just a pretend haunted house. Nothing to be worried about. Nothing to react to...]
I don't hear screaming. The guys must have made it out.
[ Allura has seen the stars of Altea time and time again, in he memories and in the replication available in the castle. She's seen the stars of so many distant worlds and galaxies in constellations that she couldn't even begin to name. Stars were ever-present when daylight faded, offering a beautiful but cold reminder of what lay beyond the atmosphere or thin veil of glass between Allura and the emptiness of space.
But this is a little different.
It isn't Altea, but the night air is still a little warm on this particular planet. There are clouds on the horizon, but above them is clear sky and an unobstructed view of the Fyruor Nebula. Allura sighs as she stares up at the sky, her heart feeling light and warm despite the earlier politics of the day. She adjusts slightly, finding a better position for her head as it rests on Lotor's shoulder. ]
[The paladins would be certain to be looking for them at some point and pull them from this cozy niche on the hill. For now though Lotor forces his ever spinning mind to slow down and focus on the woman tucked at his side, head on his shoulder, pale hair tickling the back of his arm. The temptation to twist it between his fingers pulls at him, and instead he curls the grass instead, humming his agreement at the same time.]
I will never tire of the sight. Though this?
[ He glances down at her with a faint smile on his lips. ]
[ She manages to shift her gaze up to Lotor's face just in time to be properly flattered, giving his side a playful nudge in turn. The hips of her ears grow a little hot and she forces herself to look away, back up at the sky. ]
There might come a time when your compliments are too much for me.
[ It is clearly not now, though, as she's making no indication of going anywhere. If anything, she's pressed up against him just a little more. ]

(( I just found a bunch of things that looked cute whichever you're feeling more up for!! ))
i'm gonna go with 1 -> 2 (and maybe figure out how to throw 3 in too)

I am, though I feel you might win this contest.
[ You're barely wearing anything, Shiro...
But in they go! And it's dark--immediately very dark with a very creepy butler to usher them deeper into the house. ]

[ Nope. There's Lance again, much further in the house, but it times almost perfectly with a ghost flying across their path with a whoosh of air.
Allura does jump in place. ]

[Later, he would absolutely say this was trying to protect her. But both of them know how not true this is.]
Careful!

1 + 3 ...moving with 2? I'm gonna use them all
